Temporary/Contract Staffing:
This group are the employees of The Personnel Department and work on your assignment by the
hour or by terms of the agreement we reach. Typically contract or temporary staffing is a
set period or duration; the margins/markups reflect the nature of the contract.
The Personnel Department will, as necessary, establish an "On Site" presence to serve the Contract and ensure that employees have direct employer and payroll - benefit access with minimal disruption to the client. Contract or Temporary staffing can be undertaken in any location required by the client. Staff Recruitment:
Through The Personnel Department® division we place all positions below the
$100,000 income level.
Our experience includes the placement of approximately 300,000 positions since July 1980 when The Personnel Department® opened its doors. Executive Search:
Through the Galt Global Recruiting division our organization provides senior recruitment
services for persons in positions over $100,000. Galt's experience includes placing
numerous senior roles including President, Vice President, Director, Financial and
Specialist roles in Canada, USA, China, UK and Australia.
Project Staffing:
Typically the Project is fully managed by The Personnel Department®. The
client instructs The Personnel Department® about the outcomes required and
the priority. We then complete the Project.

Guide is a free human resource tool to participating member organizations. THE Salary Guide
has been busy every week updating salary information through our sources and those of the
participating organization. We are, at present, completing a significant statistical update
on salaries; as part of our double blind input process, that ensures twice a year that no
source has been overlooked.
THE Salary Guide will keep you informed of your organization’s salary competitiveness and will provide complete unbiased up to date information in a rapidly changing market. Data is derived from thousands of employers and many reliable statistical sources; it has a real world comparative value due to this broad community base. The Personnel Department’s Predictive Benchmarking System is the outcome of over 14 years of
Research & Development.
The system is used to identify candidates’ attributes and then compare them to the attributes of recognized successful employees, within you organization. Employers have used it to select employees who are most likely to succeed in a position – reduce turnover or enhance safety outcomes. This system has been proven 94.5% effective and is the only Profiling system, that meets or exceeds all Employment Standards and EEOC requirements to be non discriminatory. The system is scaleable and is a “learning” system that adds value for many years to come for one modest investment. Employee Leasing:
Employee Leasing is designed for the client who has recruited personnel to undertake work on their
behalf, but who does not wish to be the employer of record for those people. Employee Leasing
ideally suits clients who have contract work which spans a period of time over some years, or
those clients who wish to bring back employees for a specific period of time. The employer may
wish to ensure that people hired for term positions are aware of the fact that there is no
intention at the time of recruitment for that term position to become a full-time position.
While working at the direction of the client on client rosters, the employee will have all
personnel related matters dealt with by The Personnel Department.
